Joyce McClure ROCK SPRING — Joyce Anita McClure, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2024. Joyce was born August 31, 1934, in Rossville, Ga. to the late Giles and Jessie “Louise” White. Joyce was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and member of Lakeview 1st Baptist Church. She graduated from Lakeview High School Class of 1951, the last class to graduate after 11 years. Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years Troy McClure, brothers Earnest White and Gary White, and sisters Virginia Cantrell and Judy Womack. Survivors are her son Troy (Lisa) McClure Jr., daughter Valerie (Brad) Carpenter, sister-in-law Brenda (Larry) York, brother Dale (Connie) White, grandchildren Ashley (Peyton) Miller, Faith McClure, Andrew Carpenter, Joy McClure, and Hope McClure, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. McClure will be 12 Noon, Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Patrick Cooper and Rev. Dave Bolling officiating. Tané M. McClure (born June 8, 1958),[1] sometimes credited as Tahnee Cain and Tané Cain, is an American actress, singer, model, producer, writer, director, and film editor.
Early life
[edit]McClure was born in Los Angeles County, California.[citation needed] She is the daughter of actor Doug McClure and Faye Brash, the first of his five wives.[2] She has a half-sister, Valerie, from her father's marriage to his fourth wife, Diane Soldani, in the 1970s as well as a half-sister, Taber Parker Reiner, from her mother's third husband Donald Parker.[3]
McClure made a cameo appearance on her father's Western television series The Virginian at age five.[3] Raised in Hawaii, McClure moved to Northern California and, at age 17, began singing in a Latin jazz band called Sweet Honesty.[3][4]
Career
